Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Walden, the product development platform available at walden.so (“Walden,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using Walden, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are accepting on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” refers to it.

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Workspace administrators control who belongs to their workspace and what members can access; if you join a workspace, its administrators can manage your membership and see content you add to shared areas.

Walden is a tool for teams at work. You must be at least 16 years old to use it.

Walden has one plan: $15 per person per month, or $150 per person per year, billed from a minimum of three seats. New workspaces get a six-week free trial from signup — the whole team, every feature, no card required to start.

After the trial, continued use requires a paid subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe, and subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we do not refund partial periods except where the law requires. We may change our prices with at least 30 days’ notice; changes apply from your next renewal.

You own the content you and your team create in Walden — pitches, scopes, tasks, documents, messages, and everything else. You grant us the limited license needed to host, process, display, and transmit that content in order to run the service. We make no claim to it beyond that, and we do not use your content to train AI models.

You are responsible for the content you add. Don’t upload anything you don’t have the right to share or that violates the law or these terms.

Walden includes an AI assistant that generates suggestions from your workspace content. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete — review it before relying on it. It is provided as a drafting aid, not professional advice, and you are responsible for decisions made from it.

You agree not to:

• Break the law, infringe others’ rights, or upload unlawful or harmful content.
• Probe, disrupt, or overload the service, or access it by any means other than the interfaces we provide.
• Attempt to access other organizations’ workspaces or data.
• Resell the service, or copy it to build a competing product.
• Send spam or abuse the newsletter or AI features.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Where reasonable, we will warn you first.

Walden, including its design, software, and brand, belongs to us and our licensors. We work hard to keep Walden fast and available, but the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We may add, change, or remove features; if we discontinue Walden entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your content.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for all claims arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You can stop using Walden and delete your workspace at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these terms, for non-payment, or if required by law. On termination, your right to use the service ends; the sections of these terms that by their nature should survive (including Your content ownership, Limitation of liability, and Governing law) survive.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located there. If you use Walden from elsewhere, local mandatory consumer protections still apply to you.

We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email or in the product at least 14 days before they take effect; continued use after that date means you accept the new terms.
